In recent years, information-oriented society has developed rapidly, and how fast information can be obtained is important. Among them, we focused on the QR code developed by Japan. The QR code has information in both sides. Also, the smallest unit (black and white square) that makes up the QR code is called a cell. A QR code is represented by a combination of cells and is composed of a position detection pattern (finder pattern), format information having information such as timing pattern, error correction level and mask number, data and error correction code (Reed Solomon code) It is. In the 1950 's, the specific properties of DNA were clarified and became the cornerstone of modern biochemistry. Until Seeman developed DNA nanotechnology DNA was recognized as a medium for genetic information. This DNA nanotechnology is a technology that can freely design and create nanoscale structures using only self-assembly of molecules. We use the DNA origami method developed by Rothemund in it. The DNA origami method is a technique of interlacing a long chain single-stranded circular DNA called scaffold DNA with a large number of short DNAs called staple DNA to produce an arbitrary structure. By using this method, two-dimensional or three-dimensional DNA nanostructures can be designed. For example, Smiley (Fig 1) is made by using the DNA origami method. In this time, we will create nano-sized DNA QR codes by this DNA origami method.
